Dr. Kirk is a licensed psychologist (Health Service Provider, License #3101) and credentialed school psychologist (Nationally Certified School Psychologist, Certification #41934) who is dedicated to providing comprehensive and informative assessments. She has expertise in administering evaluations to children, adolescents, and young adults. Her goal is to use the assessment process to aid parents, teachers, and students themselves to better understand the individual’s academic and behavioral concerns so that they can work together as a team to give the individual the assistance he or she needs.
Dr. Kirk earned her bachelor’s degree at Samford University and then taught middle and high school students in the Czech Republic before beginning graduate school. Dr. Kirk earned her Master’s degree in Educational Psychology and Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of Tennessee. She completed an American Psychological Association-accredited internship at the Tennessee Internship Consortium, primarily serving a school system in east Tennessee. She continued working in a school system after her internship until returning to her hometown in middle Tennessee. She joined the staff at The Diagnostic Center at Currey Ingram Academy, where she served as a psychologist completing psychoeducational evaluations for students from public and private schools for over 10 years, before opening her private practice.
During her leisure time, Dr. Kirk enjoys spending time with her husband and daughters, being outdoors, laughing with friends, and traveling when possible.
